Senior Vice President, Technology & Development
Joerg Germann is the Senior Vice President of Technology & Development at CCC. Joerg leads CCC’s technology and product vision and is the force behind the conceptualization and development of CCAMS. Joerg’s passion is the design and development of carbon business management systems that help companies to manage GHG emission reductions from sequestration or energy efficiency activities. Joerg leads a cross-disciplinary team of software engineers and scientists that develop carbon business management products and services for agriculture, forestry and energy sectors.
Joerg is active in the development of his profession. He has recently joined BCTIA’s CTO Advisory Committee to provide expertise on the influence of climate change regulations on businesses and technologies.
Previously, Joerg enjoyed a successful career at MDA in a business development capacity and prior to that served as Executive VP of Versatile Mobile and COO of start-up evolutionB. In his professional career Joerg has been instrumental in many international projects ranging from launching and positioning telecommunication satellites into geostationary orbits, to developing and implementing flood monitoring systems in Bangladesh to managing software technology start-ups in Germany and Canada.
Joerg is a German-trained physics engineer, with a Diplom-Ingenieur in Applied Physics from Munich University for Applied Sciences and is a BC Registered Professional Engineer in Engineering Physics. Outside of work Joerg is an aspiring kite boarder.

Chief Operating Officer
Farran has over 15 years of experience in finance, operations and business management. She most recently worked in the bio-medical device manufacturing and pharmaceuticals industries where she held roles of Chief Financial Officer and Director of Finance. Prior to the bio-tech industry, Farran worked as a consultant with the corporate finance and business development group at BC Hydro. She also worked in the telecom industry in a corporate finance role where she developed business plans and financial models for a global telecom network and was involved in raising over $4billion through an IPO and other debt and equity issuances.
Farran has a degree from UBC in International Business and Finance with a focus on Southeast Asia. During university she studied abroad in Nice, France and Bangkok, Thailand where in addition to taking a Masters in Marketing program, she worked for Price Waterhouse as a financial consultant. Farran went on to earn her CA designation, completing her articling with PwC where she oversaw audits of companies in the mining and high-tech sectors before moving into the transaction services group where she performed due diligence and deal support for mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt transactions in the high-tech and retail products sectors.
